Yarde Orchard Café is an up-cycled historic 1930’s sailor’s dormitory from Plymouth docks, renovated into a bright and beautiful venue. Located 4 miles south of Great Torrington, North Devon.

We are right alongside the Tarka Trail Cycle Path, Route 27 (Devon Coast to Coast) and Route 3 (West country way), part of the SUSTRANS UK. National Cycle Network. A perfect place to stop for something to eat and drink when cycling or walking the Tarka Trail.

Rosemoor Garden Kitchen and the Otter Café

Our coffee is the best for miles around. We serve the best quality Columbian coffee plus a wide range of fair-trade teas and hot chocolate. Most hot drinks are approved by the Rainforest Alliance. Whether you are popping in for a coffee and homemade cake or lunch, our staff will be happy to help you. We source locally produced, free range and organic food wherever possible.

The Plough Café is fully licensed and serves a wide range of local ales, ciders, and wines from across the world.

Lizzy's Larder

In our farm kitchen we freshly bake our own sausage rolls, scotch eggs, ready meals, pies and pasties. We serve these along with our homemade soups, cakes & scones in our tearoom.

In our shop, we stock home cooked food, fresh fruit and vegetables, basic groceries including fresh bread and Dunstable Farm milk, household and toiletry items, beer, wine and spirits, giftware and cards and kiln dried firewood.

A licensed quayside Coffee Shop/Cafe by the river with plenty of outdoor seating on the picturesque Bideford Quay. Come and sample our lovely welcoming atmosphere and watch the world go by whilst enjoying an Italian Carraro coffee and one of our amazing homemade cakes, made by the Burridge family. Our sharing platters are also a popular choice from our menu. All of our food is sourced locally.

A fully licensed café that strives to produce delicious food, using locally sourced produce at affordable prices. Our philosophy is to produce a different choice, catering for all dietary needs but always thinking outside of the box. All of our cakes are made in house using the best of ingredients and our selection of pizzas are made to order using organic homemade dough. We are the only café in Bideford that uses local small batch coffee, brewed in South Devon.

The Old Farmhouse Kitchen and Tearoom

A traditional, 500-year-old farmhouse tea room serving delicious home-made food daily. We serve light lunches; including a daily special, our Ploughman’s lunch, made with our home-cooked, farm reared meats, cream teas, freshly baked ‘award winning’ cakes and our speciality afternoon teas.

Relax outside in our peaceful, private garden or if the weather is not so good, our pleasant tearoom with log burning stove will keep you warm and cosy instead. All of our mouth-watering food is freshly made with the best local produce available.

Cafe Onboard

We offer well-cooked varied menu with most items made from gourmet or premium ingredients but remain great value. We also have lots of old penny machines as well as a very rare football table and Austin Powers pinball inside. Our upper deck has plenty of seating and sun loungers. Our pond with a fountain and palm trees gives it a lovely feel overlooking the water. Fantastic views from the upper deck!

Fremington Quay

Barnstaple | 34 minutes

A family run business offering delicious wholesome food, much of which is made on the premises by us or supplied by local bakers, butchers and growers. The Café itself is in the old station building which served the quay and has been sympathetically renovated. The Café is located in a picture-perfect spot on the River Taw with the Tarka Trail running past our door.

We are the perfect spot to pause for refreshment if you are walking or cycling from Barnstaple to Bideford on the Tarka Trail and we have parking space for those visiting us by car.
