As well as a lovingly restored farm cottage, you’ll also get a home away from home that has everything you and the kids need during your stay.

We’ve packed Birchill Farm full of family fun; start your days with Farmer Carolyn at animal feeding (a firm favourite with kids and parents alike), outdoor play areas, take walks in the woods or join us for our famous pizza nights. And if the weather isn’t kind? Take to our indoor play areas that are full of more toys than you could shake a soggy devonshire stick at!

Location & Local Area

Situated in a central Devonshire location, Birchill Farm has all the benefits of being close to everything, whilst being surrounded by rolling hills and countryside.

Birchill Farm Cottages are perfectly located for the fabulous sandy beaches of North Devon and Cornwall and the dramatic landscapes of Exmoor and Dartmoor – with Clovelly, RHS Rosemoor, Westward Ho! and the main shopping town of Barnstaple all within easy reach.

Stroll, toddle, run or cycle along the scenic Tarka Trail, a 180 mile route through the stunning scenery of North Devon – ideal for pushchairs and accessible just half a mile away from your holiday cottage, or simply recharge and enjoy the peace and quiet, stillness and calm of Birchill Farm.

Animal Feeding

There’s no better way to start your day than with animal feeding in the mornings. Often as popular with the adults as it is with the children, help feed our donkey’s, alpacas and array of farmyard animals.

On the Farm

Birchill Farm & Cottages sits amongst 8 acres of green pasture and ancient oak woodlands. The grounds also feature a wildlife pond and an open meadow leading to the stream; perfect for exploring.

For the Grown-Ups

We know that it’s your holiday too, which is why you invite you to join us for pizza night and a few drinks from our bar – which just happens to be a horse box, lovingly converted by Carl over the past few years.

Pizza & S'mores

Roasted marshmallows and freshly cooked pizzas, now you’re talking! Our pizza nights take place each Friday and give you a night away from cooking, surrounded by gorgeous green countryside.
